A Musical

Book & Lyrics by Michael Richmond
Music by Nola York

Set in the wild west among feuding clans of the McLairds and the Clantons, it combines Romeo & Juliet with Lysistrata when the women band together to end the fighting. This high-spirited, bawdy and tuneful musical was created by Michael Richmond & Nola York, the same team responsible for the Orange Tree's hit musical "The Lady Or The Tiger" which transferred to the West End.

What The Press Said...
"Anna-Jane Casey, fresh from playing Velma Kelly in Chicago is in wonderful voice and high-kicking dance as the sheriff's wife whose solo on "The Stars Already Know" stilled the house. Sue Kelvin (another recnt Chicago cast member) celebrates sin with her rorty Madame de Pompadour. The Choreographic high spot is Sevan Stephan's hanging judge in the suggestive " Backward Dancin' " routine"
John Thaxter - WHAT'S ON

"A Wonderful selection of toe-tappin tunes from Nola York, some frisky choreography from Bill Deamer"
Lucy Powell - TIME OUT

"It has everything a good musical should have. There is a story, much humour and some wonderful lines, great songs, super music, loads of exuberant talent and a whole heap of joie de vivre"
Helen Taylor - RICHMOND & TWICKENHAM TIMES

Anna-Jane Casey in 'Wild Wild Women'

"Michael and Nola who write wonderful music, were an extremely talented team, and I always felt that they were on the brink of a really big musical breakthrough. With Lady or the Tiger, Nola was the first female composer to be responsible for the entire score of a West End production. I think her work is magical."
